Refreshing South Indian Buttermilk
Recipe using Rambell Foods Buttermilk Powder.

ingredients needed
2 tbsp Rambell Buttermilk Powder
2 cups cold water
Salt to taste
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
1 tbsp finely chopped curry leaves
1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
For Tempering (Optional but traditional)
1 tsp oil
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp cumin seeds
A pinch of asafoetida (hing)

Prepare the Buttermilk
In a bowl or jug, add Rambell Buttermilk Powder and cold water.
Whisk well until the powder dissolves completely and the mixture becomes smooth.
Add Fresh Flavors
Add salt, chopped coriander leaves, curry leaves, grated ginger, and green chili. Mix well.
Prepare the Tempering (Optional)
Heat oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add cumin seeds and asafoetida, then sauté briefly until fragrant
Finish the Buttermilk
Pour the tempering into the prepared buttermilk and mix gently.
Chill and Serve
Serve immediately or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes for a more refreshing taste.
